In Apple News, available in iOS 9, you can mute sources you don’t want to read. In the For You tab, Apple News recommends stories and new publications it thinks you might want to read, based on your reading habits and existing subscriptions.

But if you want to mute a publication, just open one of its stories from the For You tab, tap the share button, then swipe left until you find the Mute Channel option. Done.

Don’t forget: Finer Things in Tech is on Apple News, including some of my top-level sections like iOS, Mac, and Articles. If you use Apple News, you’d make my day if you subscribe here.
