I’m trying to replace my Mac with iOS devices for every task, and Newsify for iPhone and iPad might have nailed it for my news reading.

I appreciate its Feedly-like magazine layout for articles (though it also has a list view), but in addition to offline reading, Newsify can download articles automatically at various intervals from 15 minutes to 24 hours. The latest news is just waiting for you, like it’s a loyal little news courier right inside your iPhone and iPad.

You can set this in Settings > Sync Settings > Background Sync Interval.

Bonus points: Newsify also supports iOS 8’s new Share Sheet with App Extensions. You can enable it, keep the existing built-in share options (handy if you don’t want to install apps for every service), or use a mix of both. If you’re curious, I set it to both for my screenshot just to show what it looks like, but in use I set it to the iOS Share Sheet.
